Evaluation:
What went well:
- I believe that the image came out looking nice and clear
- being able to expand the image to a medium close up from a wider shot
- I also believe that the colours used complimented each other well
- Probably to experiment more with edits to make the magazine stand out more
- placing of the cover lines
- experimenting with edits
- better photo skills
Before the production of the magazine I had to get student models for my magazine, I had to consider either to take the picture landscape or portrait with my phone.
During this production of the college magazine I used
photo-shop for the first time, in the process I learnt how to do several things
such as being able to place images and size them differently without deforming
the image. I also experimented with fading the background and colour, but in
the end just left it with a natural setting background of the college because
it appeared more warming and realistic. Lastly, I also experimented on how to
make my text darker to make it more visible.
People have commented saying the work that I produced was
very aesthetic as well as it having a nice colour theme which compliments the
image. Furthermore, the image being clear and the conventions the magazine
presents. However areas where I need improving seem to be that I shouldn't put
my text so close to the edge and probably edited the magazine more i.e with the
background.
